St John’s Wort – Hypericum Perforatum

St John’s Wort, also known as Grace of God, is an upright medium-sized perennial, with scented yellow flowers. It grows to the height of 30-90 cm. It has a long reputation for healing wounds. More recently, extract has been used as antidepressant. It can be harmful if eaten – use only under medical supervision!

Sow outdoors in May, in drills, and thin to 45 cm spacing. Grows well in most garden soils.
