Wild Flower – Marsh Mallow – Althaea Officinalis
Marsh Mallow is an upright perennial with a fleshy taproot, downy stems and velvety leaves. This plant flowers in the latter part of the summer and has pink or white flowers. It has a variety of uses, many parts of the plant can be eaten.
These seeds can be sown from late winter through to the summer. Germination takes from 3 – 6 weeks at room temperature. Light helps germination.
