Clustered Bellflower is a short grassland perennial with compact heads of violet bell-shaped flowers at the top of the stems. It flowers from June through to October.

It is found in a range of soils including chalk and limestone based soils. It does best on grazed or cut grasslands. Best sown in the autumn.
