Common Dill Seeds

Common Dill Anethum graveolens

This annual has feathery leaves that can be used in salads and with fish. Its seeds and flowers can be used in pickles, and the leaves can also make medicinal infusion. It grows to a height of up to 1m.

Dill likes fine, well drained soils. Pick the leaves as required, which are best used fresh. Pinch out the tip of the main stem to encourage bushy growth or prevent plants from flowering.

Sow outdoors in situ, throughout spring and summer.
