Compact and evergreen, Helleborus Christmas Carol forms a bushy clump of leathery, deep green foliage and bears plentiful white, saucer-shaped winter flowers that open from around December and continue into early spring. Ideal for shaded borders and woodland plantings, it thrives in partial to full shade and moist but well-drained, fertile, neutral to alkaline soil (including chalk). Fully hardy, it reaches about 3045 cm tall and 4560 cm wide; remove old leaves in late winter to showcase the new blooms.
