Mediterranean fan palm forming compact, multi-stemmed clumps of fan-shaped evergreen leaves. Slow-growing and very architectural, its ideal as a striking focal point in sunny, well-drained borders or large containers, bringing a classic Mediterranean look. Best in full sun and moderately fertile, free-draining soil; hardy in much of the UK with good drainage (RHS H4, around -10C). Small yellow flowers may appear in summer; eventual size typically 24 m over time.
