Carex Everest (Carex oshimensis Everest) is an evergreen, clump-forming Japanese sedge valued for its neat, arching tufts of variegated foliagedeep green leaves edged clean whitethat bring year-round brightness to containers, edging and rock gardens. Best in partial to full shade and in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil, it is fully hardy and low maintenance, forming compact mounds around 3040 cm tall and wide. In spring it produces inconspicuous brown flower spikes; simply remove any tired leaves in late winter to keep the clumps looking fresh.
