Camellia japonica Marie Bracey bears large, formal double, rosepink blooms in early to mid spring (typically MarchApril), set against glossy, dark green, evergreen foliage for yearround structure. Grow in light shade in a sheltered spot, avoiding early morning sun on frosted buds. Plant in moist but welldrained, humusrich, acid (ericaceous) soil; also suitable for large containers with ericaceous compost.
