Brunnera macrophylla Silver Heart is a clump-forming woodland perennial prized for its large, heart-shaped leaves that are strikingly silver with fine green veining, bringing long-season foliage brightness to shade. In spring it carries airy sprays of small, forget-me-notlike blue flowers above the foliage. Best in partial to full shade and moist, moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil, its excellent for woodland borders, edging paths, and underplanting shrubs. Eventual size around 3045cm tall and wide; fully hardy and low-maintenance once established.
