This is a priceless mid and late summer plant, with crowded spikes of deep purplish-red flowers above a low bush of aromatic sage-like growth.

Sow the seeds finely and evenly, covering thinly, at any time in gentle heat or a warm spot outside. Grow on individual seedlings in 3″ pots, and then plant out in a well-drained sheltered position.
