Chervil Plain has pale green fern-like leaves and a delicate anise flavour. Annual, it grows to 30 cm. This annual grows to 30 cm. One of the “fine herbs” – use fresh leaves with egg dishes and salads.

It grows in most light, well-drained garden soils and prefers partial shade. It is also slow to germinate. The outermost leaves should be picked first.

Sow outdoors; in situ, February to August.
