This variety produces large flowers in a range of vibrant colours. It is very hardy and free-flowering and prefers moist and shady conditions.
Sow from June to July on the surface of seed compost in pots or trays. Keep at a temperature of between 15-20C. Do not exclude light and keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged. Germination will take around 14-30 days. As soon as you see the seed begin to germinate, lightly cover the seeds with vermiculite. When large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions in a cold frame or sheltered part of the garden for a few weeks before planting out in the autumn in borders spaced 15cm apart or plant into containers for autumn/spring colour.
