Pea Flovert Petit Pois

Pea Flovert is a superb heavy-cropping Petit Pois variety, prized for its exceptional sweetness and productivity. Plants reliably produce up to three dark green pods per node, each filled with 1011 small, tender peas with outstanding flavour. With good natural disease resistance including moderate resistance to Downy Mildew this variety is an excellent modern replacement for popular variety Waverex and grows to around 60 cm tall.

Key Features:

  • Heavy-cropping Petit Pois producing up to three pods per node

  • Each pod contains 1011 small, super sweet peas

  • Good disease resistance, including moderate resistance to Downy Mildew

  • Excellent flavour and ideal replacement for Waverex

  • Compact plants reaching around 60 cm tall

How to Grow Petit Pois Pea Flovert:

Sow seeds outdoors from March to May in a flat-bottomed drill around 5 cm (2 in) deep and 10 cm (4 in) wide. Space seeds 5 cm (2 in) apart and allow 60 cm (24 in) between rows. Cover lightly with soil and firm gently. Protect emerging seedlings from birds with netting if vulnerable. As plants grow, provide net or wire support to help them climb and hold the developing crop.

For very early sowings, we will start seeds inFebruary or March under cover using guttering or modular cells. The plants can be transplant once hardened off by sliding gutter-grown seedlings into a shallow drill or planting modules 1015 cm (46 in) apart. Harvest the peas from July onwards
