Red Spire Melica transsilvanica

This is a perennial ornamental grass. It has red-brown leaves and long red-brown flowers in the early summer. It will flower in the first year, growing to a height over up to 2m over a couple of seasons.

Sow seed in spring with some heat, pot up when large enough to handle.
