Melon – Blenheim Orange

This old variety was raised in 1880 by Mr Thomas Crump, the head gardener to the Duke of Marlborough. The large fruit has a fine-textured, scarlet flesh and a fragrant flavour. The plant matures 100 days after planting.

Sow the seeds edgeways in individual pots, modules or peat pots from late February up to late April under glass at 20C. Maintain the temperature both day and night.
