Calendula Officinalis – Pot Marigold – Pacific Beauty Cream

This is a cream flower from the Beauty Colours series. It has both double and semi-double flowers. It is a cheerful cottage garden annual also known as “poor man’s saffron”. The petals can be used to give saffron colour and a light tangy flavour to rice, fish soups or omelettes.

Sow from March to June direct in the final position for a great display of colour from May onwards. Also sow in the autumn for an early display in the spring.
