Iris Foetidissimia – Citrina

This is an improved variation of the “Welsh Gladwyn Iris”, which has pale lemon instead of the normal mauve flowers. The attractive thick evergreen leaves make a wonderful autumn and winter foil for the large pods of bright orange seeds when they burst open.

How to sow and grow Iris from seed

Cover with compost or grit 5mm deep. Sow anytime and keep moist in a cool, light spot outside. May be slow to germinate. Grow on individual seedlings in 3″ pots. Plant out in a well-drained sheltered position.
