Rhododendron (Y) Percy Wiseman is a compact evergreen yakushimanum hybrid valued for its rounded trusses of funnel-shaped blooms that open from pink buds and fade through soft primrose/yellow to creamy white in late spring. Forming a neat, dense mound of leathery green foliage, its ideal for acid soils in lightly shaded, woodland-style borders or sheltered beds. Provide humus-rich, moisture-retentive but well-drained, lime-free (ericaceous) soil and dappled light for best flowering; excellent choice for smaller gardens due to its compact, slow growth and tidy habit.
