In late spring to early summer it bears small, urn-shaped pink flowers above the foliage. Perfect for peat beds, bog gardens, and containers of ericaceous compost kept evenly moist; thrives in acid, peat-rich, moist to damp soil in sun or light shade. Eventually forms a low cushion around 30cm tall and 4560cm wide.
