Alpine Strawberry Reugen

This is an old standard but still a good choice. The plant is a strong grower that tends to be a bit smaller than other varieties. The scarlet red fruit have a strong aroma and excellent taste.

The germination of strawberry seed can be slow and erratic but great fun to have this speciality in the garden. Sow from February onwards undercover, keep temperature at 21C. Germination takes 2-3 weeks. Pot up into individual pots and harden off before planting the seedlings out.
