Anemone coronaria Emmy Deep Rose is a tuberous anemone bearing single, deep rosepink, poppylike blooms with dark centres above finely divided, ferny foliage. Flowering in late spring to early summer, it reaches around 2030cm tall and wide. Grow in full sun in welldrained, moderately fertile, light/sandy soil, ideally in a sheltered spot and protected from severe frost and winter wet. Perfect for sunny borders, rock gardens and containers, and excellent for cutting; deadhead spent blooms to extend the display. Deciduous, the foliage dies back after flowering.
