These seed carpets are made from biodegradable sheets, which help suppress weeds as the seeds germinate, giving them the best start. The carpets also protect the seeds from birds and other wildlife, who would usually eat the freshly laid seed, which will often result in a sparse display rather than a substantial mass of blooms throughout the summer.
