Beet Leaf Swiss Chard – Bright Yellow

This is a bright broad leaved chard with bright yellow stems. Excellent as a baby leaf in salads. At maturity it will produce sweet stalks, which are best eaten raw or steamed. Used the leaves like spinach.

Sow from February onwards under glass or direct in situ later in the season. Harvest the leaves from May onwards. Requires a temperature of above 8C to get successful germination.
