Cerinthe major purpurescens

This is a hardy annual or a perennial. It produces a very unusual rich purple-blue nodding flower which is in contrast to the deep blue-green bracts on long strong stems. It is used in bedding, containers and cuttings. It flowers from July onwards, and earlier in the second year.

Sow from March onwards to flower from June onwards.
