Cordyline Red Star is a striking, palmlike evergreen prized for its bold, sword-shaped, deep red foliage that brings strong architectural structure to pots and borders. Grow in full sun or light shade in a sheltered position and fertile, well-drained soil; ideal for containers or as a focal point in mild gardens. In favourable conditions it slowly forms a trunk with age, and mature plants may produce sprays of small, creamy-white, scented flowers in summer.
