Cuphea Ignea – Dynamite

This tender perennial and novelty variety covered in small, tubular, bright scarlet flowers over dark green foliage makes an attractive houseplant. Drought tolerant once established, it is also well suited to summer borders and mixed containers. Height 20-25cm, spread 25-30cm. Attractive to bees and other pollinators, it is also known as the ‘firecracker’ or ‘cigar’ plant.

Sow, covering with medium vermiculite, from March to May at a temperature of 21-24C. Germination will take from 2 to 3 weeks.
