• Verbena is slow to germinate and needs complete darkness to sprout. Easiest to start indoors about ten weeks before transplanting. Cover seed tray and keep in a dark spot until seed has germinated. Water until plants are established.
• May be perennial in mild climates. Cut back plant to one half in winter, in mild areas.
