Lettuce Lakeland Seeds

Lettuce Lakeland is a crisp iceberg lettuce which grows well in the UK. The heads are quick to mature and slower to bolt. Harvest on the young size for maximise sweetness and flavour

The seeds can be sown directly from March to July in shallow drills. They grow best in fertile and moist soil. Early sowings may need some protection. Germinations takes 7 14 days. Thin to 20cm apart. Regular sowing will give a continuous supply of lettuce from June to October. The Seeds can be sown in modules and planted out directly after hardening off.
