Salad Leaves – Mixed Spicy

This pack contains three mats to grow one after another for a long harvest season. Perfect for patio pots, with tangy leaves to add ‘bite’ to salads.

Sow outdoors from March to August. Simply fill a large patio pot with fertile compost, leaving a 1.5cm gap from the top of the pot for easy watering later on. Place the mat on the compost and firm down gently. Cover with a fine layer of compost and water well. Place outside in a warm, sheltered position. Keep moist. Harvest from April to October. Pick a few leaves from each plant when at least 5cm high. They will regrow quickly for up to 4 ‘cuts.’ Leaves are best picked just before use. Varieties grow at diverse rates, giving a different salad mix at every cut.
