Mukdenia Karasuba is a clump-forming perennial prized for its bold, lobed foliage that deepens to vivid red tones as the season progresses, bringing striking autumn colour to shaded borders. In spring it carries airy sprays of small white flowers above the leaves, creating a fresh contrast before the foliage fully develops. Best in light to full shade with moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil, its ideal for woodland plantings, shaded edges and architectural foliage interest. Eventual height and spread around 3045cm.
