This is organic seed. This is a winter variety which has large dark green leaves and great flavour. It is very hardy and stands well over winter. It is best to pick the leaves when they are young, tender and mild in flavour.

Sow the seeds from June to September. In shallow seed drills 2cm deep with 30cm between rows. As the seedlings grow the seedlings can be thinned out to 15cm apart. Water well when dry. Harvest October onwards. Successional sowing will help extend the season.
