This is a wonderful introduction from Idaho / Montana. It forms a compact rosette that overwinters. In the spring many flowering stems form, full of large, slightly squashed deep lavender blue flowers that continue until mid-summer.

Cover thinly in a pot of good compost in a warm bright position with gentle heat. Grow on individual seedlings in 3 inch pots.
