Polyanthus Crown Exhibition Strain

This is a large-flowering strain that is ideal for pots.

Sow thinly in trays in a cold frame and cover with glass to retain moisture. Remove the cover as soon as seedlings emerge. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, prick off into trays 5cm apart. Plant out into flowering position 20cm apart in September or October, keeping them moist and shaded during summer. Germination occurs best at cool temperatures of around 15C.
